Kamanta C. Kettle is an associate at Dunnington working in the litigation, intellectual property, advertising, art and fashion law, international and Africa desk practice areas. Her practice areas include complex commercial litigation and trademark law and counseling, the latter of which comprises trademark prosecution/litigation; copyright litigation and clearance; and intellectual property licensing. As a commercial litigator, Ms. Kettle has represented clients in a broad range of civil actions at the state and federal levels, including in the areas of corporate restructuring and products liability.
Ms. Kettle is a member of the New York State Bar Association and Copyright Society of the USA, and formerly served on the Fashion Law Committee of the New York State Bar Association’s Entertainment, Arts & Sports Law Section. Prior to joining DBM, Ms. Kettle spent several years at a multinational law firm in lower Manhattan before working at boutique intellectual property law firms in White Plains and Long Island, New York. Ms. Kettle is admitted to practice in New York State and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
Ms. Kettle received her Bachelor’s Degree, cum laude, from New York University, and her Juris Doctorate from Cornell University Law School, where she served as a general editor of the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy and Vice-President of the Cornell Society of Law and the Arts.
